Spread your wings with these gorgeous handpainted scarves

If you’ve ever dreamt of spreading your wings and flying, take a look at these beautiful scarves and sarongs by Kazakstan-born visual artist Roza Kamitova. Kamitova worked for eight years in the New York fashion industry before moving to Byron Bay, Australia. She attributes her home in the Down Under jungle as an everlasting source of creative inspiration, “It’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to, with plenty of exotic birds, insects, lush rainforests, waterfalls, beaches nearby.” It is where, in 2011, she launched Shovava, her own apparel brand. The clothing and accessories she sells, including these gorgeous plumaged scarves, are adorned with her drawings of the animals, plants, and patterns she sees in nature.

I’ve always been enchanted by the powerful image of Wings, its structure and symbolism; for me, its a representation of Nature, Freedom and total Beauty.
