This is surprising! The “cheap and chic” retail apparel chain (found in malls across America) known as Forever 21 is trying to co-opt the Burning Man culture with the Black Rock Desert Tee, a “vintage-inspired” t-shirt for men that reads “Black Rock Desert” on the front and “Welcome to the Playa 88” on the back.
You can’t make this stuff up.
Burning Man veteran Tex Allen of the WhytheNose project decided to take matters into his own hands by rebranding the shirt with his logo:
